Questions
Do customers need an account to use the wishlist?
Yes. A shopper's wishlist is stored on their Shopify customer record, so they need to be signed in to save an item — a signed-out shopper is redirected to log in. That's also why wishlist data lives on Shopify's side rather than in a third-party database: it's the actual customer record, not a copy of it.
Will this work with my theme?
Yes, through theme app blocks — no code required on most themes. If your product cards don't support app blocks, Setup gives you a copy-paste snippet.
Do I need Klaviyo?
No. Klaviyo is optional. Connect it if you want to sync your wishlist list, events, and profile properties, and to send campaign emails to shoppers who saved something.
What happens to wishlist data if I uninstall?
It's deleted. See the privacy policy for exactly what's removed and when.
Is there a free trial?
